LIVE, GROW, STUDY, EVOLVE with nature
Icha (meaning “desire” in Hindi) is the fulfillment of a wish dear to its founder Madhu Tugnait: to build and give the society a stable structure for community living. Her aim is to create a haven for single women and elderly people in a precarious situation as well as orphans between the age-group of 0-6 years who will be raised by these single women until they become self dependent. This community would also play host to permanent residents as well as passing guests performing paid stays of varying duration.
Icha provides residents with a serene environment where they can heal the ills of life and find a healthy lifestyle. One major goal of the foundation is to return to the lifestyle close to nature, where people contribute by sharing their time and talents with the community to help it prosper.
Specialized trainers will impart training to the residents on creating different crafts to help them become active members of the society while contributing to the preservation of traditional arts and crafts in the region.
ICHA is a non-governmental, non-profit, and registered under the Indian trust deed act and donations to ICHA are exempt from Tax under the Income Tax Act.
