We provide food, shelter and education to normal kids who belong to our staff members such as Basheera and Samira.

Shanti is a widow with two young children, Kumar and Bangaram. She was finding it difficult to fend for herself and the children.

Tara, was abandoned inside compartment on a train from Chennai to Vizag. She came to Icha via Childline and suffers from cerebral palsy. She will need lifelong support.

Shyam, 5, also came to us from Shishu Gruha Vizag. Abandoned by his family on a railway platform he suffers from acute mental retardation and cerebral palsy.

Tanushree is a 7 month old baby with mixed gender issues. Her mother died at childbirth while her father is on the run being a suspected criminal.

Girija, a motherless child, was handed over to Shishu Guha in Vizag by her grandfather a few months after her father absconded.

Tejashree is a Kondakarla village child. She is a semi-orphan whose father was convicted in the murder of her mother.

Basheera is a semi-orphan from a nearby village and is related to Icha’s cook, Amina. Suffering from mental retardation and not having anyone to take care of her she was adopted by Icha.

Alka was found by the police on the railway tracks of Vizag. She was adopted from the Woman and Child Welfare Centre by a family, only to be returned when they realized she was hopelessly spastic.

Teja, was abandoned in a train. He was handed over to the police to Shishu Kendra and subsequently adopted by Icha at the age of 5.

Mahesh, 7, was abandoned on the street at the age of 2. He has severe speech impairment. Rescued by Childline, Icha adopted him from Woman and Child Welfare Centre, Vizag at the age of 5.
